  • Q: My child played soccer last year, why can't I find my account?
     We are using a new registration site this year. Everyone will have to create a new account in the new AYSO Region 266 Blue Sombrero website. Even if your child was registered in AYSO Region 266 previously you will need to create a new account in the new site.
  • Q: My spouse registered my child, how do I log into their account?
    A: The Primary Account User can send you an invite to be an Additional User on the account with which your child was registered. To invite an Additional User to your account, click on the gear icon in your account to "Edit Account Info", scroll to bottom of Primary Parent/Guardian Info page and click on the green "Add Secondary Account Holder" button.

  • Q: I don't see my Team Page.
    A: You may have created an account separate from the account used to register your child. In order to view your child's Team Page, you must be logged in with a username associated with the account used to register your child. Only team members may view the Team Page. Have the Primary Account holder invite you to be an Additional User on their account (see Question 3), or email the Registrar at to merge your separate account with the account used to register your child.

  • Q: When are games and practices?
    A: The game and practice schedules are posted on the calendar in your Team Page.Your coaches will communicate with the team through the Team Page on Blue Sombrero. To receive these communications, your email address must be entered correctly in the account used to register your child, as either the Primary Account User or an Additional Account User (see Question 4).

  • Q: My child is on a wait list, when will I know if he/she is placed on a team?
    A: Placement on a team is not guaranteed, if your child is on a wait list. Division Administrators do the best they can to place as many players from the wait list as possible. We are an all-volunteer run organization, and are always looking for more coaches. You can better your child's chance of being placed on a team, by volunteering to coach (see Question 7). Otherwise, placement off the wait list is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the wait list is free. You will receive an email confirming your child's placement on a team, with instructions to log into your account and pay the registration fee. 

  • Q: How do I volunteer?
    A: There are many volunteer roles that need to be filled each year. It takes the work of many to make each soccer season happen. We are always looking for more help, especially coaches. No prior experience is necessary, we provide all the training you will need. Registering to volunteer is a two step process.
    1.) Choose your volunteer role when you register your child for the season, or by searching for "Find Volunteer Roles" in the Volunteer tab in your Blue Sombrero account.
    2.) Complete your volunteer registration at Contact the Administrator at

  • Q: Can my child be placed on the same team as his/her friend?
    A: Unfortunately, we cannot pair players on the same team, unless they both have parents volunteering to coach that team together. List the name of the volunteer you would like to be paired with when you select to Coach your child's division (see Question 7). We do not allow more than 2 team players to be placed on the same team, in order to maintain balanced teams in our Core Program. 

  • Q: I need to cancel my child's registration. Can I get a refund?
    A: Email the Registrar at
    Withdrawal is effective immediately upon submission of this form to AYSO, not upon receipt of the refund. A child may not participate in AYSO programs once (s)he has been withdrawn. To request player reinstatement, the parent must contact the Registrar. We do not guarantee team placement - if you ask for reinstatement, your child may be re-assigned to another team. Coaches are not authorized to allow a withdrawn player to rejoin their teams.

    The refund will be processed and a check mailed to you in 6-8 weeks. Region 266 refunds player fees according to the schedule below.

    If the refund is requested before August 1, the fee is refunded in full.
    If refund request is made after August 1 but before a team uniform is distributed and before the first game is played, a full refund is made minus the national registration fee and insurance fee component paid to AYSO National.
    If player refund request is made after the first game has been played, 50% refund is provided if the uniform is returned. $25 will be deducted from the refund if the uniform is not returned.
    If player refund is requested after the conclusion of the fall session, no refund is made.
  • Q: Is there a mobile app for my Team Page?
     Both iOS and Android phones have free Blue Sombrero apps. Encourage your parents to download them and use them. We strongly discourage using Shutterfly, TeamSnap, etc. as the mobile app feeds directly from the Team Pages and is the most accurate source of information.  The Blue Sombrero Mobile App is available at the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Here is the help guide for the app.
